ABOUT YOLA

Yola Lu is a comedian, writer and actress based out of Austin, TX. She is the co-founder of the all Asian American improv troupe, Y'all We Asian, and they've performed at the San Francisco Sketchfest, the Del Close Marathon, Out of Bounds Festival and won the Austin Chronicle's “Best of Austin's Critics Pick”, as well as winners of two B. Iden Payne awards. Yola herself has performed stand up in Seattle's Bumbershoot Arts and Music Festival, as well as the Comedy Comedy Festival in Los Angeles. She is one of the original co-founders of Disoriented Comedy, a mostly female stand up comedy tour. She has also created a web series that can be found on YouTube called 'uncomfortable', and has a one woman show inspired by a Burger King commercial called 'The 5%'. Recently, she starred in a feature film called "Night on Sixth" that premiered at the Austin Asian American Film Festival. She currently does a weekly 1-minute monologue show (think Weekend Update on SNL) on Instagram and TikTok called "Oh Wow Night Time" that releases every Sunday at 8pm CST. In her off time, she can be found eating too much Subway or Taco Bell, and hanging out with the love of her life, her dog, Chloe. She is currently represented by Collier Talent Agency.
